Abstract: This study promotes interdisciplinary approaches in technical education in Nigeria, exploring integrated curricular models, collaborative learning strategies, and cross-disciplinary skill development initiatives designed to prepare students for diverse career pathways and industry demands in technical fields. Interdisciplinary approaches in technical education emphasize the integration of multiple disciplines, problem-solving skills, and creative thinking essential for addressing complex challenges and advancing innovation in vocational training programs. The research aims to (1) identify interdisciplinary practices and approaches in technical education that enhance student learning outcomes, career readiness, and industry relevance, (2) assess perceptions and experiences of educators and industry professionals regarding the benefits and challenges of interdisciplinary education models, and (3) propose recommendations for fostering interdisciplinary learning environments, promoting cross-disciplinary collaborations, and integrating interdisciplinary skills into technical education curricula to enhance educational quality, student engagement, and workforce preparedness. A survey research design is employed to gather insights from technical educators, industry leaders, and interdisciplinary experts familiar with interdisciplinary education practices and outcomes. A sample size of 400 participants will be chosen through purposive sampling to represent technical educators, industry stakeholders, and interdisciplinary education specialists in Anambra State. Case studies will examine successful interdisciplinary education initiatives and their outcomes in promoting student skill integration, industry collaboration, and academic achievement in technical fields. Findings indicated positive impacts of interdisciplinary approaches on student engagement, identified challenges such as curriculum integration and faculty training needs, and highlighted effective practices such as project-based learning, interdisciplinary workshops, and industry partnerships in fostering interdisciplinary education excellence. Recommendations include curriculum redesign, professional development for educators, and collaborative initiatives to support interdisciplinary skill development and prepare students for diverse career opportunities in technical fields.
